Michael Krawitz is a disabled United States Air Force Veteran who has led the successful effort in the United States to create Veterans Affairs cannabis medicinal access policy. In 1998 he presented in the Hall of the General Assembly during UNGASS on the Basic Human Right to access medicine. In 2008 he led a delegation of 11 USA based NGO’s in participating in the important Beyond 2008 NGO summit and since that date Krawitz was the driving force behind the resurrection of the New York NGO Committee on Drugs and more recently is a leader of the working group on medicinal access to cannabis currently working through the Pre-Review / Critical-Review process inside the World Health Organization.
