Dr. Bryan Doner, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Compassionate Certification Centers, is currently leading the first clinical research study on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and CBD. In partnership with clinical research organization Affinity Bio Partners, Doner was selected by SciCann Therapeutics and FSD Pharma for the project.
Clinical research enrollment is expected to take place this February and will be comprised of 20 subjects, which could increase during the three-month trial. The pioneering study will look into the therapeutic benefits of the cannabis plant utilizing the CannaBot™ a cutting-edge artificial intelligence bot from AI Health Outcomes.
In addition, Doner and Compassionate Certification Centers plan to partner with a Pennsylvania university or medical school to do additional research in state, as well as internationally in South America and Europe.
“We are focused on combining cannabis-based therapy with other treatment modalities to get a better understanding of potential treatment synergies for specific conditions,” stated Doner.
